WEBSITES FOR TOURISM BUSINESSES

Platforms keep a cut of every customer. Your website brings them whole.

Guesthouses, experience operators, travel brands. Your website is the last thing someone looks at before booking you — or the place next door.

I haven't studied your industry: I've been your customer for over twenty years. I've closed your website on my phone, on a bad signal, more times than I can count.

YOUR SITE DECIDES AND YOU NEVER FIND OUT

Your business is good. Your website makes it look doubtful.

And the worst part is you never find out, because the person who leaves doesn't write to tell you. I've been that person. This is what makes me close the tab:

It's slow

I'm out on the street with two bars of signal. If it doesn't load in three seconds I go back to Booking and book there — and you pay the commission.

I can't find what I need

Where exactly you are, how to get there, whether there are stairs with a backpack, whether you're open in November. Ten seconds looking for it and I'm gone.

I don't trust it

Four generic photos, a form I'm not sure reaches anyone, and no sign there's a real person behind it. With my money on the line, doubt wins.

It breaks on mobile

Which is where everyone has been booking for years.

You're not a designer or a developer, and you shouldn't have to be. Your time goes into hosting people, not fighting a template.

NOBODY WRITES TO TELL YOU THEY LEFT.

NOT DESIGN. REMOVING REASONS TO LEAVE

I'm not selling you a pretty website. I'm removing the reasons people leave.

No recycled templates, no page an AI threw up in three prompts. A multi-page site — home, what you offer, who you are, how to get there, contact — designed from the phone of someone deciding right now whether to message you or the next one.

Built by someone who's been on the other side

Every decision — what shows first, what gets answered before it's asked, where the button goes — comes from having been the traveller who left, not from a UX manual.

Genuinely fast

Hand-written code, no heavy builders and no plugins that break on their own. It loads on a bad signal, which is when the decision happens.

Yours for good

One payment. No monthly fees, no being tied to me or to any platform. You buy the domain and you're the only owner of your patch.

And what really holds you back isn't the design

It's ending up with a site you can't touch, built by someone you have to email — and pay — every time a price changes or you close for a fortnight. That fear is correct: it happens all the time. Which is why the first thing we agree, before starting, is how you'll edit it yourself.

IF YOU NEED ME TO CHANGE A PRICE, I'VE DONE IT WRONG.

YOU HOST PEOPLE. I DO THE REST

You could give it three weekends. Or you could delegate it and get on with your work.

01

Tell me about your business

A one-minute form: what you do, where, and what you'd like to happen when someone lands on your site.

02

We talk for 20 minutes

I tell you whether I can help and how. If it's not a fit I say so there and then, and neither of us wastes more time.

03

I build it

I set up the structure, write the copy aimed at getting you booked, and apply the design. I won't chase you with twenty questions.

04

Handover and keys

I show you the result, we adjust it live, and I hand over control. Your shopfront is online.

I'VE BEEN IN YOUR BACK OFFICE

Building websites is the last thing I learned. Before that I was fixing the back office.

Before the websites

I was a brand ambassador for Pernod Ricard: my own B2B client portfolio and brand events inside the venue. Six months walking into bars and venues to develop business. I know what it takes to walk through that door — and I know what the day-to-day weighs on the person behind the counter.

These aren't website clients: it's systems and operations work, inside the industry.

I'M NOT HERE TO LEARN YOUR INDUSTRY. I COME FROM INSIDE IT.

How I hand over

Ownership, not renting.

He got his domain, his code, his deployment, and his keys. All in his name and checked one by one. Absolute control over his technological platform. That's what you're buying.

WHAT I HAVE AND WHAT I DON'T

I could show you a padded portfolio. I'd rather show you the real one.

I'll be straight with you, because it's what I'd want from someone else.

This starts now. I have finished handovers, and this very site is built with the same system and standard I'd apply to yours — speed, clean architecture, no noise. What I don't have yet is a long portfolio of cases in your industry.

So the first three come in at case-study pricing: you pay less than it will cost later, and in exchange I get to tell your story and show the results. You win by arriving early; I get to build what I don't have yet.

Once those three are done, this section disappears and the price is different.

I DON'T WORK WITH EVERYONE

I could say yes to everything. We'd both lose.

I don't work with everyone, and that's why I can move fast.

Yes, if you run

A guesthouse, an experience or activity operator, a tourism project with soul, or a brand that sells to people who travel — and you need whoever finds you to message you directly, without middlemen taking a cut.

No, if you need

A shop with hundreds of products, a complex booking engine, or custom software. And not if you're after pixel-perfection and want to micro-manage every comma: I build for what gets you messaged, not for taste.

A QUICK NO BEATS AN EXPENSIVE YES FOR BOTH OF US.

IT STARTS WITH ONE MINUTE

People visited your site this month. How many never wrote to you?

You don't know. That's exactly the problem.

One minute of form. If it's a fit, twenty minutes on a call.

BEFORE YOU DECIDE, LET'S CLEAR THIS UP

You already know the easy questions. These are the other ones.

How much does it cost?

It depends on what you need, and I'd rather tell you with your case in front of me than throw a generic number that means nothing. What I can tell you now: one payment, no monthly fees. No maintenance charges for doing nothing.

How long does it take?

Days, not months. I give you the exact date on the call, once I know what has to be done. I don't promise a number before I know it — that's what people who miss deadlines do.

I already have a site, but it's old. Does that work?

Yes, and it's usually the best case: you already know what's failing and what it's cost you.

I don't have a logo or good photos.

The logo is solved with clean type and your name; it looks elegant and reads as serious. Photos are another matter: they're half the booking decision, so we talk about them on the call. Sometimes reordering the ones you have is enough.

What if I want to change things myself later?

You choose, and we decide before we start. If you're comfortable with it, I hand you the code and you edit it directly. And if you'd rather not deal with any of that, I leave you a panel inside your own site to change text, photos, opening times and prices: you log in, you write, it publishes. Either way the content lives in your repository and there's no fee. What isn't included is changing the structure or adding new sections: that's work, and I quote it.

Why should I trust you over an agency?

A tourism agency knows the industry from the inside. I know it from the other side: I've been the customer who left. No marketing plan gives you that, and it's exactly what decides whether people write to you.
